How to Delete Your Account

Step-by-step instructions for deleting your ReviewKmon account on Web, data retention policies, and account access permissions after deletion.

1. Step-by-Step Account Deletion Guide

You can delete your ReviewKmon account at any time either from our Web Application or Mobile Application.

Web Application Steps:

  1. Sign in to your ReviewKmon account.
  2. Click your profile avatar at the top-right corner and select Account Settings (/account/settings).
  3. Scroll down to the Danger Zone section at the bottom of the page.
  4. Click the red 'Delete Account' button.

2. What Happens When You Delete Your Account

Account deletion is immediate and automated. Here is what happens behind the scenes:

  • All active login sessions across your browsers and mobile devices will be logged out immediately.
  • Your password hash and email authentication tokens are deactivated and removed from the active identity registry.
  • Any pending or active business profile ownership claims linked to your account will be revoked.
  • Your display name, email address, avatar, and contact details are purged or anonymized from active user databases.

3. Access Permissions (What You CAN & CANNOT Do After Deletion)

ReviewKmon is an open directory for consumer trust in Bangladesh. Deleting your account changes your access level as follows:

4. Data Retention & Anonymization Policy

Public Customer Reviews: Published customer reviews submitted prior to account deletion may remain publicly visible in an anonymized format (attributed to 'Former User' or 'Anonymous Reviewer'). This protects community integrity.

Security & Fraud Logs: Security audit logs, IP trackers associated with malicious report abuse, or dispute records required by law are retained in encrypted backup archives for the required statutory period.
